I am a long-time user of Red Hat Linux flavors. I started dabbling with Red Hat Linux in the late 90's, and have used Fedora since FC1 as well as ''another'' RHEL-based Linux distribution. I've played with other distributions including Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo, OpenSUSE, Slackware, Mandrake, Mint, Puppy and DSL. I've even spent some time with FreeBSD, OpenBSD, their distant cousin Darwin and the obscure BeOS.

Philosophy: I have a strong appreciation for the openness of the Linux kernel in general and the Fedora Linux distribution in particular. The recent patent wrangling fiasco makes true open source shine even brighter in my opinion. I'm pro profitable corporation, but not at the expense of innovation or fewer choices for the consumer.
