Rohit Malhotra

Hi, I am Rohit Malhotra, student of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (University of Delhi) doing B.E. in Information Technology currently in 3rd year of study. My hobbies are reading fiction, watching cricket etc. I am an Open source software enthusiast and I believe in the concept of free software and community work. In my stint as an engineering student I have been involved in team work activities and student organisations such as Computer Society Of India - NSIT chapter. I am currently serving as a senior coordinator in CSI-NSIT, some of the work that I have done as part of CSI -

• Founded The Linux User Group of my college (NSIT_LUG).
• Organised Open Source Software Camp Delhi - 2009 at NSIT to promote the idea of open source software and Linux amongst the students of my college, the event involved contributions from atleast 100 other developers, tech enthusiasts, students.
• Organised C programming workshops to promote learning of C amongst my juniors at college.

I believe that knowledge in any form needs to be shared and made to grow as a result of sharing :).

Fedora and Me

• Although I have been using fedora, I haven't been involved in fedora project as such but some of the ideas I have in mind to spread awareness about fedora are -

 * Install fests
 * Fedora camps that involve hands on sessions related to   fedora and aim at providing support aswell as encouragement to people to take part in fedora project.
