Description

This test case ensures the VirtualBox work well.

Setup

  1. Prepare a machine with the latest stable release (Fedora 39) installed
  2. Install VirtualBox from third-party repo

Make sure to set the Video Memory to 64MB

How to test

  1. Create a virtual machine of Fedora 28/29 and boot the current development release or latest stable release in it (use boot.iso, PXE or DVD.iso of Fedora 40). This can be accomplished by selecting New and making sensible choices.
  2. Hit create to boot the guest from the provided ISO disc which can be added under the Storage section of the VM which is being created.
  3. Proceed with normal installation.
  4. Login to gnome-xorg by selecting through the menu during login
  5. Hold left-ctrl + 'L' to enter seamless mode

Expected Results

  1. The installer successfully boots from the ISO image
  2. The installer is able to activate and use the virtual network device(s)
  3. The installer is able to activate and use the virtual storage device(s)
  4. The install completes successfully
  5. The system reboots successfully, recognizing filesystems created on the virt device(s)
  6. The seamless mode will allow users to surf between the opened windows
