Info

My interest in computers goes back to when I was at school and I was obsessed by the Commodore PET (I never owned one though). After leaving school I eventually got a job as a computer operator, running some ancient ICL machines. Although I'm not currently working with computers (long story), my aim is to get my RHCE and get back into my preferred line of work.

I've been a Linux user since 1999. I looked around at the various distro's back then and chose Red Hat as the best path to follow. My decision was a good one! Although I've experimented with many different distro's, my original Red Hat based choice remains the best one. I use Fedora (KDE spin) for my desktop and CentOS for my servers.

I eventually gave up using Microsoft desktop operating systems at home many years ago and haven't looked back. I only wish I'd done it sooner!
