The Fedora Security Guide will cover best practices on how to secure your Fedora system. When we discuss security we are talking about the three core goals of information security:
Each goal is addressed using different settings in your system to help limit your vulnerability to outside and inside threats.
The National Security Agency's Systems and Network Analysis Center publishes guides for government agencies, businesses, and the public at large to assist with making their systems more secure. We will be using their Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Hardening Guide and Hardening Tips, along with other industry-standard guides, to provide high-level guidance on securing your Fedora installation.
