What to test?[edit]

Today's installment of Fedora Test Day will focus on Internationalization a.k.a. i18n around Desktops including their applications. this aims to ensure if i18n support works enough on them.

Prerequisite for Test Day[edit]

One or more keyboards with different layouts
Any one Desktop variant for installation
- Workstation Fedora 43 nightly image or daily compose location.
- Silverblue Fedora 43 nightly image or daily compose location.
- Kinoite Fedora 43 nightly image or daily compose location.

How to test?[edit]

Update your machine[edit]

If you test with an installed system, make sure you have all the current updates installed, using the update manager.

Live image[edit]

Instead of testing on an installed system, you may download a Fedora 43 nightly Workstation live image or Fedora 43 Silverblue image for your architecture. Tips on using a live image are available at FedoraLiveCD. The latest live image links can be found here. please make sure to get a Fedora 43 nightly, not Rawhide.

Run the tests[edit]

Visit the result page and click on the column title links to see the tests that need to be run: most column titles are links to a specific test case. Follow the instructions there, then enter your results by clicking the Enter result button for the test.

Reporting bugs[edit]

Include some instructions on how to report bugs, and any special instructions.

If you have problems with any of the tests, report a bug to Bugzilla for the appropriate component. If you are unsure about exactly how to file the report or what other information to include, just ask on IRC and we will help you.

As Beta released we will retest and see if we get any bugs to file	This time our participants tested different Desktop variants which included Workstation, Silverblue, Kinoite, Design Suite Lab. 10 user tested in KVM, 1 in virtualbox, 2 in Gnome Boxes and 1 in Bare metal. The languages that got tested are bn_IN, en_US, fr_FR, hi_IN, it_IT, ja_JP, mr_IN, pl_PL, pt_BR, tr_TR, zh_TW.
