About me

Hi, my name is Matej and I am student at Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology. I am doing my masters degree in intelligent systems. I am also a Red Hat employee in Brno office.

I truly believe in Open Source as the way, in which software should be made. Openness, transparency, freedom and cooperation are words that should be promoted and not only in software development and distribution.

I am passionate about Linux and technologies. I would call myself a developer. I enjoy creating and maintaining software. My main focus is lately mainly on Python applications. However I've tasted many other languages and not only imperative ones.

I am also lucky that I can work for Red Hat and do what I love. In my job I am a core member of ABRT team.

Activities within Fedora

  • ABRT developer: Core member of ABRT team
  • Packager: Package and maintain some packages, mostly ABRT related
  • L10N: Translating into Slovak
