From Fedora Project Wiki

Hey, tha's me! Alexandre Almeida (aka alepilot). I am a former Jet Pilot (ATP - Airline Transportation Pilot) with more than 7,500 hour of flight in several aircrafts (including Bombardier Lear Jet and Cessna Citation Jet). Master MySQL Instructor at HTI (an Authorized MySQL Education Center) where I have teached MySQL for DBA, Performance Tuning, High Availability and Cluster classes, always on Fedora OS. By the way, I love and carry on the Fedora flag around my brazilian trips to spread MySQL & Fedora. By the way, HTI supports more then 100 customers running Fedora (yes, acting as a huge server) and MySQL with an outstanding performance.

I am BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration - PUC/SP), BIS (Bachelor of Information Systems - Unip/SP) and MBA in Aviation Management (Embry-Riddle US). I pretend ;-) to speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.

Currently, I'm involved in MySQL projects running Fedora. My goal as Fedora ambassador is to promote Fedora OS as an stable, reliable and very fast Linux option for databases, for all kind of application, for all size/complexity of database requirements.

I'm teaching Fedora classes from the basics to high advanced techiniques.
