Joining the Fedora Websites Project

Fedora is a highly visible and transparent project, which means that its mailing lists, Matrix chat rooms, and discussion pages are archived and mirrored in many places across the internet, beyond our control. Please exercise caution when sharing personal information with Fedora through these platforms, as it is not possible for us to remove any postings or messages from the wider internet once they have been sent.   1. Familiarize yourself with the Web Team
  2. Establish an account and sign the Fedora Project Contributor Agreement through the Fedora Account System.
  3. Take a look at What Can I Do With My Fedora Account (FAS)
  4. Join the Discussion Page and the Matrix Room.
  5. Review the Wiki Editing Guidelines to understand the wiki conventions.
  6. Explore the Project Repository.
  7. Read the Getting Started and Contributor Guidelines to understand the correct procedures for contributing.
  8. Introduce yourself on Fedora Discussions, Share your experience and skill level. (Don’t skip this step!)
  9. To begin contributing, we recommend starting with a good first issue. These issues provide an easy entry point for new contributors. After selecting an issue, you can submit a pull request with your changes. If no suitable issues are available, explore Fedora-hosted websites to report bugs, suggest enhancements, or identify new areas for contribution. The community is always happy to help.
