To access man pages open a terminal windows and type
man put a space and then the name of the command you want to learn more about and press the [Enter] key. For example:
man passwdwill bring up the man page for the

- group(5) ---Learn more about the file format information for the /etc/group file.
- shadow(5) ---Learn more about the file format information for the /etc/shadow file.
