FIG Job Description: sysadmin-build
Members of sysadmin-build will be tasked with maintaining the koji and plague build master systems. Members of sysadmin-build maintain the build hosts and the storage subsystem underlying the build systems.
Level of commitment
Average 4 hours per week
Expected duties
- Monitor and troubleshoot build issues with koji
- Monitor and troubleshoot build issues with plague
- Troubleshoot build issues with mock
- Troubleshoot general RPM build issues
- Troubleshoot remote build connectivity with secondary arch buildsystems
- Monitor and troubleshoot buildsystem storage
Required skills
- Set up a Koji build system
- Build and troubleshoot RPMs with Koji
- Use of Mock with Koji
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Cheetah
- Experience with storage topics (iSCSI, LVM, NFSv4)
- Experience with basic system administration tasks and troubleshooting (user / filesystem permissions, remote connectivity, etc)
- Experience with building and troubleshooting RPMs
Current tools
- Koji - RPM build system (Koji wiki)
- Mock - SRPM build testing system (Using mock)
