{{Docs_beat_closed}}
'''boost''' has been upgraded to version 1.55.0. This update brings a large number of bug fixes and enhancements, one new library (Predef), and a slight change in requirements as support for very old versions of several compilers has been removed. For a full list of changes, see the [http://www.boost.org/users/history/version_1_55_0.html Boost 1.55.0 Release Notes].

{{admon/note|Note|The original plan was to update Boost to version 1.56.0. However, this version was only released on August 7, which was too close to the Fedora 21 Alpha release date.}}
