Come rendere Bugzilla più gradevole in Firefox
- Bugzilla Triage Buttons
Si tratta di uno script GreaseMonkey che richiede sia Firefox sia il plug-in GreaseMonkey. Una volta installati, cliccando il link allo script Bugzilla Triage Buttons, esso s'installerà automaticamente. Lo script inserirà dei bottoni addizionali in una pagina di Bugzilla generando una risposta standard a un bug. Il pulsante NEEDINFO non chiuderà il bug ma invierà una nota a chi ha segnalato il bug comunicandogli di completare le informazioni necessarie per risolvere il bug. Il pulsante NO RESPONSE genera la risposta standard per chiudere un bug con insufficienti informazioni di contorno. I bottoni riempiono i campi ma non inviano il form, se non dopo aver attivato il bottone di verifica dei campi e dopo aver cliccato su Save Changes.
Non tutti i bottoni sono utilizzati da ognuno, alcuni, per esempio, sono usati solo dai manutentori di Xorg; ad ogni modo non è complicato apportare modifiche ai bottoni, modificando lo script (l'autore è ben felice di poterti aiutare). Richieste d'aiuto, proposte di miglioramenti da apportare allo script, o anche per riportare bug sullo script stesso, dovrebbero essere indirizzate al suo autore mcepl@redhat.dot.com.
Anche se non si usano i bottoni (pur essendo comodi), lo script aggiungerà automaticamente una firma standard del gruppo Bugzappers, ad ogni commento fatto su Bugzilla. Ciò serve sia a mostrare di far parte del gruppo Bugzappers, in modo che i manutentori e i redattori capiscano il perchè tu stia lavorando al bug, sia a promuovere il lavoro dei Bugzappers.
Se si stanno usando degli script Greasemonkey per Red Hat bugzilla, precedenti, rimuoverli tutti ed installare lo script GM indicato.
- Link Widgets Se si naviga tra i bug di una lunga lista, questo componente consente a Firefox di passare al bug successivo/precedente, usando la combinazione di tasti Alt+[PgUp/PgDown].
Making searches in Bugzilla without much effort
The Deskbar applet has a Fedora Bugzilla plugin, which allows you to open a specific bug number from the Deskbar search bar. To install:
- Run "yum install deskbar-applet" as root, if the RPM is not already installed.
- Right click on the GNOME panel.
- Select "Add to panel".
- Select "Deskbar" from the list.
- Right click on the Deskbar icon on the panel.
- Select "Preferences".
- Check the box to the left of the Fedora Bugzilla Module.

Let Thunderbird understand bugmail
For those who use Thunderbird (Evolution and KMail can be configured to do similar things without any plugins) there is an excellent Bugmail addon which makes life with bugmail much more easy.

Metrics
A project has been started to create some useful metrics of the state of fedora bugs, or Fedora Metrics. This will allows us to identify areas that progress is being made, as well as where we need to dirrect our focus. At some point we also want to be able to start identifying and rewarding those that are making contributions.
In the meantime, progress is being tracked at BugZappers/components.
