Fedora è libertà ed innovazione rapida.
Fedora è un sistema operativo basato su Linux che fornisce agli utenti accesso agli ultimi software liberi ed open source, in una forma stabile, sicura e facile da gestire. Crediamo fortemente nei principi base che costituiscono tutti i componenti del nostro sistema operativo, ed a causa di questo garantiamo che Fedora sarà sempre libera per chiunque, ovunque, per l'uso, la modifica e la distribuzione.
Fedora è da molto tempo un centro di innovazione per il software libero ed open source e pone molta enfasi sulla creazione di una comunità dove sviluppatori ed entusiasti open source camminino insieme per il progresso del software libero ed open source. Proviamo sempre a fare la cosa giusta, e forniamo solo software libero ed open source. Combattiamo per proteggere e promuovere soluzioni che chiunque può ridistribuire. Con questo in mente, tutti i nostri sviluppatori sono concentrati nel lavorare assieme ai progetti upstream , affinchè chiunque possa trarre beneficio dal nostro lavoro ed avere accesso ai nostri cambiamenti il prima possibile. A causa dell'enorme numero di innovazioni che Fedora porta avanti, questa specificità ha avuto significato ed effetti a lungo termine. Another striking difference of Fedora is our goal to empower others to pursue their vision of what a free operating system should be like. Fedora now forms the basis for derivative distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux , the One Laptop Per Child XO and Creative Commons' Live Content DVDs.
And that's not all. It is just as easy for individuals to create their own distribution, thanks to Fedora's easy spinning tools .
