Description

This test case is to check that characters/fonts are correctly displayed and translated in desktop.


How to test

Desktop could be GNOME, KDE, XFCE, LXDE, etc.

  1. Create a new user account (eg Ctrl-Alt-F2, login as root, "useradd [newuser]"; "passwd [newuser]", Ctrl-ALt-F1)
  2. Select new user in GDM
  3. Before entering password, choose your language and keyboard
  4. Check that the desktop is running in your chosen language and with correct keyboard setting
  • Check that desktop fonts/rendering/characters for your language looks correct.

Expected Results

  1. Desktop starts in your selected language
  2. Correct keyboard layout configured
  3. Text in your language is displayed and rendered properly on the desktop.
