Images for the picture book should be of high quality. You don't have to be a professional photographer, but composition, focus, and lighting are vital to communicating a strong message. If in doubt of your photography skills, feel free to ask a friend or post your idea to firstname.lastname@example.org to see if we can find someone in your area who's willing to help.
Images must contain at least one person doing something Fedora-related.
Submitting your image
If you have a bunch of Fedora-related pictures on the web somewhere, and you would like members of the Picture Book team to look them over for any images that we think we'd like to use, simply send the URL to Ian or post it on the talk page.
If/when we use some of those photos, we will ask you (and the people in them) to sign the release form.
Pictures will be uploaded to this fedorapeople.org directory by FAS username.
A release form must be signed by each person in the photo and the photographer. The release form allows the subjects' likenesses to be used in the picture book and releases the copyright of the image to Red Hat under the CLA.
The release form is available at Media:Picture book release form.pdf. Use only this release form for Picture Book photos.
After uploading your image to the wiki mail your release form(s) to the appropriate location:
