What to test?

This test day will focus on Features/YumLangpackPlugin, a yum plugin that allows langpacks to be automatically installed for your native language when base packages with langpacks get installed.

The following cast of characters will be available testing, workarounds, bug fixes, and general discussion ...

Prerequisite for Test Day

  • Bare metal or Virtual machine.
  • Network connection

How to test?

Prepare Your System

Test Cases

The following two cases require testing from anaconda, so installing a Fedora 41 system with local language is desired.

The case below can be executed on a Fedora 12 or later system. As reboot is needed, live image is not acceptable.

Before proceed, Check if your system has yum-langpacks plugin installed by executing:

rpm -q yum-langpacks

If the package is not installed, install Package-x-generic-16.pngyum-langpacks by:

yum install yum-langpacks
