Fedora 7 DVD

Enclosed is a copy of a Fedora 7 (x86) DVD. You have received this via the Fedora Free Media Program is a volunteer initiative under Fedora Distribution Project that aims to distribute Fedora Media for free to individuals around the world.

How To Use It

You will need a working DVD drive in your computer, and your computer needs to be able to boot from the DVD drive (you may need to make some changes in your BIOS for this to happen)

Once you have gotten the computer to boot from the DVD, you will be able to continue you on to complete your own installation of Fedora 7.

How To Get Help

Assistance with using Fedora is generally provided only via the internet. If you can get to the internet, browse over to http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate for details.

Alternatively, there may be a Linux User Group (LUG) in your area. The LUG would likely be able to give you hands on assistance with using Fedora.

Tips

Do not put any important data into your Fedora installation until you have finished setting up to your liking, and you feel secure with it. This is especially important if you have no way of getting assistance, and so the easiest solution to a problem may be to reinstall.
