Why do you want to work with the Fedora Project?

I have been a daily user of Fedora for the past two years and I want to give back to the community by contributing to it. I'd love to understand how everything works beyond the curtain and a GSoC project would be an invaluable experience for me by improving my technical knowledge on a specific subject and by giving me the keys to understand the dynamics of a massive FOSS. Plus, the fact that my own lines of code could have an impact on millions of users is something incredible that few projects can claim.

Do you have any past involvement with the Fedora project or any other open source project as a contributor?

I don't have a contribution on a big open source project but two of my current projects are open source (see my personal page).

Did you participate with the past GSoC programs, if so which years, which organizations?

I have never participated in the GSoC program before.

Will you continue contributing/ supporting the Fedora project after the GSoC 2014 program, if yes, which team(s), you are interested with?

Of course, yes! The GSoC would be my point of entry inside the Fedora community. I'd love to work with teams that deal with security or privacy related topics or with teams that make the ever-growing infrastructure of the Fedora project stable.

Why should we choose you over other applicants?

Through the past few years, I have acquired the experience, the agility and the creativity required to organise and see a complete project through. I can adapt quickly to problems by finding solutions no matter how unusual they may be. Also, being in a research team, I don't shy away from exploring new ideas and I'm no stranger to doing experiments to find what I'm looking for.
