  • Abstract: This session gives an overview of what has changed in the boot process in the last Fedora releases, what can be changed in the future and what will not. An open discussion at the end will be appreciated.
  • Bio: Harald Hoyer is a Senior Software Engineer at Red Hat since 1999 in Germany. During his 10 years his responsibilities included maintenance and development of various components in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Fedora and he was involved in several engineering projects. Recently he stepped up to lead an effort to improve boot time reduction for Fedora and the upcoming Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
