NetBeans Release Roadmap tells 'bout 6.8 at autumn, 2009. Does Fedora will ship the 6.7 release?
Fedora 12 will be shipped with the latest existing release of the NetBeans, i.e. the NetBeans, version 6.7.1. Note, the feature freeze in Fedora has already happened, but only 6.8M1 was available at that moment. We don't like to include non-final version in the Fedora. I hope, packaging of the version 6.8 for Fedora will be provided immediately after the final release of the NetBeans 6.8.
Therefore, NetBeans' users can believe that NetBeans 6.8 will be available as update to Fedora 12 in repositories, not koji or rawhide?
I'm not an oracle yet :-), nevertheless, I think, it is possible scenario. We will make a decision after release of the NetBeans 6.8.
