Description

This test case covers the Installation and Removal of Software from KDE Discover.

Setup

  • Ensure that Discover is installed, and launch it.

How to test

  1. Try to install any app from Featured Discover page or Application page
  2. Try to list your application using the search
  3. Click on the application and hit install, the task will be queued, if any other download is ongoing
  4. Click on the app icon and click the Remove Button
  5. Install another app and this time Remove it from the dashboard page with Remove Button

Expected Results

  1. You should be able to search for, and install it correctly.
  2. Software listings should render correctly and results should be valid.
  3. You should be able to query the local software DB with rpm -qa <package_name> and Gnome software
  4. Results of the above step shouldn't be inconsistent
  5. Rebooting the system should work fine
