Biography

Hey, I’m George Violaris. I live in Nicosia.

I am a programmer and entrepreneur from Cyprus. I have worked as a software solutions & IT consultant with local companies. I also work on my own projects with PHP, Java, Python & SQL.

I studied Computer Science at the University of Nicosia, where I got a Bachelor of Science, and currently I am working towards my Master’s degree in Computer Network Security, with Middlesex University.

Currently I am working in Ideal Host Ltd as a developer and system administrator. I am also partner & board director at Buytech (Cyprus) Ltd. Since 2009 I have been involved in a number of software projects for local and European companies.

When not working, I like to spend time with my girlfriend, explore new technologies, social media and networks, write about all what I do and experience on this blog, listen to (lots) of music, read books, drink coffee and occasionally go for a few drinks.
