'''SUB: Proposal for Project day on behalf of the Fedora Project.'''

Dear Sir,
Team FOSS.in,

Firstly, on behalf of the Fedora Project, congratulations to team foss.in for their continuous  pursuit for organising a great event. At fedora, we were already planning sessions and meet-ups around foss.in and now that the CfP is out, it is time for us to be working. :)
Congrats on getting the CfP out and getting the process kickstarted. As part of Fedora Project in India, we were already planning sessions and meet-ups around foss.in and now that the CfP is out, it is time for us to be working. :)

As you may be well aware, Fedora India is constantly working with various engineering colleges across India in form of workshops, tutorials, events to bring new faces to Fedora and FOSS for last couple of years. It is for this effort that we now have a number of students, mostly from various engineering colleges across India, contributing to different sub-projects of Fedora.

This year, we have plans for a few quality talks and workouts, but more importantly, we are planning to provide these new faces an opportunity to meet and work together with peers and experts so that they can take their participation to the next level and also guide their peers/juniors into FOSS arena.
We now have a large body of contributors from the Fedora community in India collaborating and contributing to several upstream projects and various Fedora sub communities including packaging, documentation, infrastructure and others.

With this in mind, we would like to propose ourselves as a participant in "Projects of the Day" at foss.in. The initial plans, which are somewhat primitive at this point but would have a number of proposals over next few days, can be found here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Foss_in_2009 .

Please let us know if more details are needed. Also please let us know if anything else is needed to be done in this regard.

Refer to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Foss_in_2009 for our preliminary proposal based on discussions for the past couple of days. In the spirit of "release early, release often", we are looking for more feedback as we progress.

We are awaiting for positive responses from your part.

SUB: Proposal for Project day on behalf of the Fedora Project.

Team FOSS.in,

Congrats on getting the CfP out and getting the process kickstarted. As part of Fedora Project in India, we were already planning sessions and meet-ups around foss.in and now that the CfP is out, it is time for us to be working. :)

As you may be well aware, Fedora India team is constantly working with various engineering colleges across India in form of workshops, tutorials, events to bring new faces to Fedora and FOSS for last several years. It is from this effort that we now have a number of students, mostly from various engineering colleges across India, contributing to different sub-projects of Fedora.

We now have a large body of contributors from the Fedora community in India collaborating and contributing to several upstream projects and various Fedora sub communities including packaging, documentation, infrastructure and others.

This year, we have plans for a few quality talks and workouts among other things, but more importantly, we are planning to provide these new faces an opportunity to meet and work together with peers and experts so that they can take their participation to the next level and also guide their peers/juniors into FOSS arena.

With this in mind, we would like to propose ourselves as a participant in "Projects of the Day" at FOSS.in. Refer to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Foss_in_2009 for our preliminary proposal based on discussions for the past couple of days. In the spirit of "release early, release often", we are looking for more feedback as we progress.

Do let me know if you have any questions,
