Joining the Fedora Ambassadors Project

If you are interested in Joining Ambassadors, we would love to have you.

Not sure? Ask yourself 3 simple questions before you join the project.

Who are we?

Fedora Ambassadors are users, contributors, and professionals who go places where other Linux users, contributors, and potential users/contributors gather. Ambassadors share information about not only the Fedora distribution, but the Fedora Project and The Open Source Way. Ambassadors help to grow their local open source communities, seek to form relationships with universities who want to teach open source, and recruit new contributors to the Fedora Project.

Where are they?

Fedora Ambassadors are all over the world, as you can see from the following pages:

Meetings / Mailing list / IRC

Meetings Mailing list IRC
Regional meetings are very important to this project, because they allow local Ambassadors to communicate with each other. See the meetings page for details. The global Ambassadors mailing list is critical for collaboration. Please have a look at the mailing list guidelines. Currently, the #fedora-ambassadors channel on IRC is the best place to go.

Fedora Ambassadors Steering Committee
